The Village Nursery School is a non-profit, NYS Department of Education registered preschool that provides a quality education in a nurturing environment.
VNS was established in 1956 by a group of parents to provide the community with a preschool for children 3 to 5 years old. For more than 50 years we have been proud offer early childhood education in the F-M area
Our lead teachers have at least a Bachelors degree in education and their average teaching experience is 20 years. Staff members are also certified in CPR.
Our Board of Directors is made up of parents who are in charge of special events and fund raising, such as a book fair, “Make-a-Plate” sale and an ice cream social.
The school is in operation from early September until Memorial Day. The Fayetteville Manlius Public school calendar is generally followed with respect to snow days, holidays and vacations. In addition, a Summer Program is offered in June and July.
“Teachers at Village Nursery School love their students. In such a nurturing, encouraging environment success in learning is an everyday experience. In other words, the children thrive.”
– Karen Porcello, Children’s Story Time, Manlius Library
“My children had an outstanding experience at Village Nursery School. The teachers were most competent and caring and our children learned a great deal. It was a very worthwhile experience.”
